They will use their paintbrushes to mix the colors and get the new outcomes of color.

An assessment tool for this activity can be the outcome of what their different colors came out to be.

CD-SC1.3d: Participates in simple experiments and discusses scientific properties.

CD-SC4.3d: Uses classroom objects that function as simple machines.

· The lady is making an outside sort of wall with wood blocks.

· She is helping the kids make an outer part.

· The inside of the part there are different items.

· To her left she has different pieces and sizes of wood blocks.

· As seen in the picture they are building some type of house or building.

Since it takes time to build a building and have the different accessories inside, we can make an activity by counting how many blocks it took to complete the outside of the building. Counting as well how many blocks there are of the same color. This will help children learn their simple counting with objects and being able to identify their color and count them as well.

An assessment tool I would use for this activity would be quizzing them on either having them tell me their numbers or being able to get the right answer on how many of each color there was.

CD-MA1.3e: quickly recognizes and names how many items are in a set of up to three items.

CD-MA2.3b: Counts up to correspondence with adult guidance.
