We can drag parallels to "The End of Something", mainly because of the miscommunication. They are very inddirect and distant. Indicates a disfunctional relationship, where not much are said, but we can as readers feel the tense atmosphere between the lines.

In "The doctors and the doctors wife" we see the frustration from the doctor, because he cant live up the requirements that his job posseses. Likewise in "The end of something" we see the frustration in Nick when he is struggeling to be together with Marjorie, as he obviously wants to break up with her.

I think we see the miscommunication in The End of Something and The doctor and the Doctors wife, because in both texts, it is the women who try to make communication and solve the problems, but the man in both text (the doctor and Nick) doesn't want to open up and are very reserved and in that way make miscommunication in their relationship

At the end of "Indian Camp" and at the ending of "The End of Something", we see a clear change of attitude from Nick. Where he in "Indian Camp" comes across as hopeful and happy, he appears as sad and hopeless.
There are also the boat trip symbolizing almost entirely opposite meanings (bonding with his father on the boat, breaking up on the boat)
