Theorist Chomsky developed research of LAD (language acquisition device). He is to believe that LAD is a concept one develops in the brain when one is an infant. This development allows one to produce sounds from languages; therefore, language is to hold as a universal grammar. However, Chomsky theory did not stick as there is an underline of coding in all languages.

Linguistics is the study of the language of human communication. How we intake our first language is by repetition of what is spoken to us as young children. This intake helps one understand what is correct and incorrect of the language. Later, one will understand how to properly use the language with correct grammar usage. Because languages have different term meanings, we would communicate through a sense that is similar to mirror those terms and hopefully understand one another.

When we think of physical language, we want to think of how we tell a story. For second language learners, we want to use words with actions to help move forth with a retell of a mini story in their own understanding. Continue to observe and encourage your children of their comprehension from demonstration to verbal cues.

The way to focus on affective learning is by the motivation we give as teachers to our students. When we create daily routines, clear expectations and a place to grow, we reduce anxiety and create a positive environment towards learning a language.

The theory of Vygotsky is a study that shows learning can be established through peer interactions, language is a part of the learning process and learning occurs in the zone of proximal(with and without assistance). How we can bring the students together is by showing visual images of one another's cultural and even share images of events with their families to help emerge cultural experiences.

Students learning a second language may not feel as welcomed when they first step into a classroom. Introduce real objects that can seen, felt and engage with to better understand vocabulary terms. The goal is to comfort the student to know going to school means they will be treated with kindness and respect from their peers and teachers. Ensure to always establish a non-tolerance for discrimination among peer interactions.
