Little Bird Tales - This site allows students to create a multitude of different projects, such as presentations and practicing language acquisition. This would be great to use with ELLs because they could access the information and learn English in an accessible way. The site also has stories you can listen to online.
Cyberkidz - This site is for students to play educational games that combines video games with education. For ELLs, this site would be a fun way to learn about different concepts related to English and content areas.
Listenwise - The idea behind this site is to have students listen about different subjects and to learn about them. This could be helpful for older ELLs (upper elementary) depending on what subject they were learning about.

The Differentiator - This site would be helpful to teachers to create a straightforward statement of assessment. It gives a variety of options to use for assessments and the wording can be changed easily.
Schrock's Assessment Pg.- This site has premade assessments for a variety of content areas and ELL standards. This would be helpful to have an assessment already created in so many subjects, which would help my students.
Rubistar - I could see using this site often because you can create and save rubrics on this site that can be accessed anywhere. There are some pre-made rubrics that help you get started and can be customized, which is really nice.

Recite - This site allows students to enter a phrase or saying and pick a graphic to go with it. This would be fun for ELLs because they could create their own visuals to connect with vocabulary and phrases. This site would be best managed to be used by the teacher or older elementary students.
Word Art - This site uses words and phrases to create pictures. This would be fun to do for a class project and brainstorm about certain topics, such as what students know about weather or Spring. ELLs would get to see the words create a work of art that relates to all the words.
Tripline - This would be an amazing tool when helping to teach social studies, such as the Oregon Trail or anything related to travel. Students would be able to see and interact with a map that relates to the content they're learning about. ELL students would benefit from this site because they could interact with the map

My Philosophy for Tech and ELLs

Make It Meaningful - While tech tools can be really cool, if there isn't a meaningful reason to use the tool then don't use it. ELLs won't get anything out of tech tools that aren't foundational for their learning.
Mix in the Modes - Being able to speak, listen, read, or write about a subject is crucial for ELLs to learn. Finding tech tools that incorporate at least one of these modes in its site means that ELLs will have a greater chance of learning the important content from the site.
Don't Rely on Tech - Tech sites should always be a supplement to learning, and not the sole part for a lesson.
