We know hes charismatic, looks like a guy from a country club, is about 16-17 years old, and a special agent in the FBI. The main character in the story is extremely shocked when she came back to the table and saw that he was gone and he left $20 for his eggs. When she picked up the money she noticed a card stating his name, job title and where he worked. I think that Tanner may be a special who either goes undercover or recruits people for the FBI. He seems like an odd character but he also seems like he has such confidence in himself.
