My prediction is that the more beetles lay their eggs in the trees the less trees there will be. there will be a decrease in trees since the trees will have to be cut down. Benefits to cutting down trees is that there will be more land to build homes, businesses, etc.  The problems would be less trees which means the air will be less healthier to breath. Also like it said on the hand out with less tress the higher the cooling costs will be since less trees to block the sun.
