Modifying the assessments a little. The thumbs up and thumbs down choices are VERY close to one another on the page and it was very confusing for my students when completing this assessment. I had to do small groups and even 1-1 for some that struggled with this. I thought of maybe copying and cutting out a large "thumbs up" and large "thumbs down" so that students would just tap the choice and we can mark on the assessment tracker if they got it correct/incorrect.

We tried playing the read alouds in "spare time" so that students who missed, could hear some, however they still struggled with the assessment portion on the ones they missed. There's just not enough time in the day to make up all the stories with each individual student.

-Mlyniec
