         <description><![CDATA[<div>Blank verse- Blank verse is a type of poetry that has a regular meter, usually iambic pentameter, but no rhyme<br>Ex- But the play, written in a buttery <strong>blank verse</strong>, isn’t all that interested in the gossip that’s regularly splashed on the cover of the Daily Mail.<br>Soliloquy- a character's speech voicing his or her own thoughts as if to himself<br>Ex- I’ll make it up for him: If he stands by that stirring Senate <strong>soliloquy</strong> and truly regards Trump as “dangerous to a democracy,” then this is much more than a vote about government revenue.<br>Dramatic irony- irony that occurs when the meaning of the situation is understood by the audience but not by the characters in the play<br>Ex-Still, the exercise offers the intrepid time traveler an object lesson in <strong>dramatic irony</strong>, the literary device that awards to audience members a perspective the characters in a story don’t possess.<br>Foreshadowing- an advance sign or warning of what is to come in the future<br>Ex- Made in America” best documentary and “The Salesman” best foreign-language film, <strong>foreshadowing</strong> those Oscar wins as well.<br>Hubris - excess of confidence<br>Ex- The fictional Wiseau creates his own bad luck, usually through <strong>hubris</strong> and transparently vulnerable posturing.<br>Catharsis - purging the body by the use of a cathartic to stimulate evacuation of the bowels<br>Ex- The hope I can offer her gives me a sense of <strong>catharsis</strong> and healing.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Blank verse:</strong> Blank verse is poetry written with regular metrical but unrhymed lines, almost always in iambic pentameter.</div><div>Example:The dreams are clues that tell us take chances.</div><div><strong>Soliloquy</strong>:an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers, especially by a character in a play.</div><div>Example:O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?</div><div>Deny thy father and refuse thy name;</div><div>Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,</div><div>And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.”</div><div><strong>Dramatic irony:</strong>occurs when the audience knows something the characters do not. Because of this understanding, the words of the characters take on a different meaning.</div><div>Example:In Star Wars, Luke does not know Darth Vader is his father until Episode V, but the audience knows sooner.</div><div><strong>Foreshadowing</strong>:be a warning or indication of (a future event).</div><div>Example:The evening was still.
