He plans on taking Algebra 2 over the summer with an intent to take Math Analysis in 10th grade. What math course should he select at this time? Will he tentatively be placed in MA for now?


He should take Algebra 2 in 10th grade and then take Math Analysis in the summer before 11th grade. We do have path for that. Please reach out to your son's counselor for more information.

It is possible to change to SL in their senior year. If a student is in need of a change after the start of the 11th grade, we would meet with the student, parents, counselor, and one of the principals to support the student through the change.
