         <description><![CDATA[<div>What I didn't know was that you could buy your freedom at some point for a certain class of slaves. Also, that they were shaved to prevent lice and branded. Another thing is that they were thrown off the ship as punishment, you'd think they'd try to keep them all on to trade more slaves and get more goods.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I didn't know how big of an impact the slave trade had on the kingdoms of Africa, it made them weaker because all of the workers were traded off as slaves which meant they had nobody working, and that eventually led to them being conquered.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Something I didn't know about the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade was that some slaves had much more freedom than others. For example, as said in the video, some slaves could buy their own freedom, own land, and even rise to a higher position. Meanwhile, others were treated brutally. Some had to shave their head, get branded, and put on a ship with way too many people cramped below deck, which even caused death to many.</div>]]></description>
