This is important because this is where Firestar's journey to find the lost 5th clan begins. He first tells his close friends and kin about his journey to leave. Without him leaving to find the lost clan, that clan's history will be gone forever. Later on, he will tell the rest of his clan about his departure. He promises his clan that he will come back. This impacts his clan a lot because he leads that clan. Luckily, the clan deputy will take control during his absence.

"You must rebuild Skyclan."

This is important because Firestar had to rebuild a long lost clan starting from only one cat. This quote is what changes the rest of the story, since Firestar would've left and went back to his clan, ending the book early.

Here's my letter to the Author:

Dear Erin Hunter,

I really liked this book because of how it goes in depth to the past of the clans. I always liked how some books stayed in the present, but I want to also know how the clans formed or also more about their past. The best part of that is, you did do that! Another thing was, that just like the other books, there was a lot of action. Most of it was suspense, when I was reading, I never knew if they would find the lost clan. One thing I didn't like though was the lack of fights in the book. There were much less fights compared to most of the other books. Overall though, great book.

I rate this book 5 stars. I found this book very interesting, and like the other books in the Warrior series, it had a lot of suspense. I liked whenever the characters fight or any action/suspenseful parts because it makes me want to read much more.

The author believes that when we find someone who is alone, we should try our best to help them. They really need it, even if they claim they don't. Don't treat others indifferently, either. If something bad happens to them, don't make it worse for them. Last, go out of your way to help others. If you see a sign to go and help someone, do it. Always treat others the way you want to be treated.

Firestar went exploring for the lost clan after having a dream about them. He saw them leave the forest and they followed the river. So Firestar also followed the river. He brought his partner with him on this exploration. Her name was Sandstorm. This decision was very tough because he had to leave his clan, and worse, he leads that clan.

This is where the exiled clan went to after they were kicked out. Occasionally a river will form in the middle when it rains. Unfortunately, the exiled clan, Skyclan, did not last long, as something caused them to spread out. Later on, most Skyclan cats either became domesticated, or lived as lone rogues.

Firestar met the last member of Skyclan, a cat named Sky (Skywatcher). Sky knew the history of Skyclan, and is the last of the cats to know about it. He shares what happened with Firestar and they come to an agreement to try and rebuild Skyclan. They recruit rebellious domesticated cats and rogue cats without a clan. All of these cats have Skyclan blood in them. Firestar lost a life (one of nine) trying to restore Skyclan.

The clans meet at four trees in a clearing at every full moon. Firestar decided to leave to search for a lost clan that was kicked out of the forest by the other clans a long time ago, in this exact spot and at a full moon.

I chose this image because the story revolves around the full moon, where the clans meet up at a certain spot at a forest, and they discuss events and news. Full moons are not only meant to signal clan meetings, but are the same thing as a year to the cats in the book compared to an actual year to us. (10 moons old = 10 Cat Years old)

Firestar and Sandstorm almost got snatched by kids playing in a pool. They were trying to sneak around until a kid noticed them. They charged at the cats and they had to run through the water to escape.

Firestar lost one of his nine lives to rats. He was ambushed in a barn and tried to kill the rat king, but failed. He woke up somewhere else after realizing he was killed by some rats. He continued helping Skywatcher, even though he lost a life.

To be fair, unless you have read other books of this series, you won't understand/like this book. Unless you like cats. A lot of terms this book uses probably won't make sense to you. I'll help you a bit though-

Firestar is the main character; he leads a clan named Thunderclan.

Clans are just like groups/nations of cats.

There are 4 main clans that are in a forest/moor. Their names are Thunderclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan, and Windclan.

Skyclan was kicked out long ago. Most died off or became rogues and domesticated cats (kittypets).
