We are going to make a film by animating a children's book called Ottoline and the Yellow Cat. The book has pictures in it already so we are going to use these by photocopying them, printing them and cutting them out to use as stencils. 
The animation techniques we are going to use are stencil and silhouette animation. We will animate the book chapter by chapter so we make sure not to make any mistakes and if we do we can edit them and correct it. 
Because we are working as a pair and each person has to have a different final project one version will be with voices and the other will be a silent film but with music and sound effects. 

The target Audience will be children 7 - 12 years old and their parents. 
Some of the existing products that we have been influenced by are: the Owl Babies, a children's book that has been animated to a good standard and has vioces and some sound effects. Also we have looked at a 1922 silhouette animation by Lotte Reiniger of Cinderella. It is also a silent movie and is still enjoyable to watch as well as animated to a great standard.

We both share any production roles and responsibilities because we are only a pair and will be working together on all aspects of the production.

The cast will be people who do the voices of the  characters, we are going to ask each person we have in mind if they are willing and if not we will find someone else. If we cannot find anyone we can use someone from either the drama department or someone else on another course in the media department who is willing. 

We will be keeping record of our production work using our diary log and talking about what we have completed and using pictures of the day's work. 

The main risks are of electrocution, tripping over wires and chairs, and crashing into tables, lights, cameras and other people.

There are very few possible legal and ethical issues, the biggest would be copywriting or plagiarism by claiming that the story and book were our own which it is not in any  way.
