Which is in itself, is its own country. Roman Catholicism is one of the worlds largest religions. Pilgrimage makes the Vatican a travel destination in itself for many.<br>- Both Rome and Florence are filled with amazing examples of art and architecture, by famed artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli, and many more.  <br>- Around the world, Italian cuisine is celebrated.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Tuesday July 6th</strong>- Arrival at Rome Fiumicino, take the shuttle to your chosen hotel. After settling in, have a late lunch, Italian style at Pane e Salame. This will help you get on track as European times of business operations differ from North American standards. Summer hours in Rome for shopping are 9am-1pm and <br>4-8pm, as the time in between is siesta. After your lunch, check out some shopping. Rome has shopping in the Piazzas, these are central squares that roads lead to. It is not on a grid system. You can walk to most famous ancient sites around Rome. While in this square you will find a plaque in memory of the bonfire of the vanities,, where purists burnt anything of cultural significance. Spend your afternoon at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze where you will see Michealangelos  statue of David. Afterwards, take a walk through the fashion district and on to the Arno river, where you will find the Ponte Vecchio, Europe's oldest bridge. This renaissance bridge has many jewellery shops along it which have continued to thrive for 500 years. Check back into your first hotel. For your final day, you'll see the environmental and natural side of Rome, while taking a relaxing stroll through Villa Torlonia, Nomentana Street, 70 - 00161 Rome. You can enjoy landscape views, botanical gardens, making for great pictures. You can have lunch at Streatart ,<br>0.3 km away for delicious pizza. Afterwards cab to Rome's Catacombs. Crypts, Bones &amp; Catacombs: An Underground Tour of Rome, $107.31 CAD per person. This 3 hour journey will take you through ancient underground walkways, with your own tour guide in a small group setting. Taxi back to your hotel where the last thing you must do before bed, is stop for gelato. Check the The Gelateria Guide of Rome for a location near your hotel. <br><strong>Tuesday July 13th</strong> -  Check out, have your daily breakfast at the hotel and take the airport shuttle from your hotel to head back Toronto.</div>]]></description>

How: The Pope agreed they would meet with Canadian officials and the bishops to discuss.&nbsp;<br>The stakeholders involved are The Roman Catholic Church and the Indigenous peoples of Canada.&nbsp;<br>I don't believe this will largely impact tourism in Italy, if anything the current Pope is seen as a leader in social justice issues and this&nbsp;is a positive move forward. Justin Trudeau also thanked the pope for his role in climate change.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Flights leaving Toronto July 6th, returning July 13th.<br>Air Transat - 8h 40m - starts at $1,159<br>Air Canada - 8h 10m - starts at $1, 203<br>Delta - 8h 35m starts at $2,061<br><br>While in Italy: <br>The train is best if moving from city to city because of the high speed eurorail trains. a 3 day 1st class eurorail pass is 253$ CAD. This is the most efficient use of your time, the high speed train is 1.5h vs 8h by car to get from Rome to Florence. <br><br>Public transit in Rome is 1.50 euros for 100 mins, or 24 euros for a 7 day pass. It is safe and efficient, with subway stops at most major historical attractions. <br>Taxis in Rome start at 2.80 euros from 7am-10pm , except on Sunday it starts at 4 euros and on Sunday night 5.80 euros there's a 2 euros flat rate / surcharge at the terminal and another 1 euro for luggage. Roman taxis are an adventure, in general roman traffic does not obey driving laws.</div>]]></description>
