In addition to providing ELLs with academic supports within the classroom, Philadelphia Public schools provided additional support to help students succeed. Providing homework help, strategic grouping of students with same language leveled piers, having electives focus on reading and writing supports, and other supports creates an environment where students feel supported by everyone.
