One strategy I’ve used is the site Quizizz. At the start of class, I give students a quick quiz based on the upcoming content to determine their prior knowledge. After we go over the notes together, I have them take the same quiz again. This allows me to see what concepts they’ve grasped and where there may still be some misunderstandings. This helps me to prepare for the next day!
