They also use high pitched sounds to help them navigate through the water because they don't have the best sight and no sense of smell. This is an external adaption and is a behavioral adaption. Finally Beluga Whales have a slowed heart rate that helps them stay under water for more than 15 minutes. This would be an example of a internal adaption. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTeT1Sg_A2I

When the females become queen, they grow longer by increasing the distance between the vertebrae in her spine. Though they're mammals, naked mole rats can't maintain their body temperature, so they huddle in large masses to slow heat loss. Naked mole rats eat feces, letting them maximize nutritional gain from food.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5DcOEzW1wA

Pugs- One behavioral adaptation of a pug is their lazy attitude. When pugs exercise they pant a lot which really restricts their breathing and causes them to put lots of pressure on their trachea. This could cause their trachea to collapse. So their lazy behavior keeps their breathing regulated.
A structural adaptation of a pug is their shedding coat. A pugs coat sheds based on the temperature the pug is in. If a pug is cold it will shed much less than normal but if a pug is hot it will shed a lot leaving hair everywhere.
A internal adaptation of a pug is excess fat. Pugs tend to get cold because of how much they shed when it's warm. They need the excess fat to keep them warm most importantly when they are wet.

They have two sets of long teeth on the lower and upper jaw to help thoroughly chew their food so that they don't choke on it, which is VERY easy for a rat to do!! This is because rats do not have a present gag reflex. This results in them not being able to regurgitate or vomit any food they may be choking on! Although the long teeth may look unpleasing, just know that those teeth is what's keeping that rat from choking and dying!
