Lindon is a city that borders Pleasant Grove and Orem, populated with around 12,000 as of the 2024 census. Lindon is typically known to be a calmer and more suburban, unlike the nearby cities of Provo and Orem. This city is also considered to be more "rural". If you prefer a more relaxed area, Lindon might be somewhere you could consider.

Lindon has an abundance of beautiful scenery to enjoy. The tall hills within the area provide a nice view of the Utah Lake, which is especially beautiful during the sunset. Like previously mentioned in pt. 1 of my project, it has many trails to take leisurely walks on and hikes to elevate your view. Many of the trails also have historical significance, which you can learn about as you stroll. Lindon has many areas of recreation as well such as the aquatic centers and arcades/escape rooms.

Once again, I drove around the neighborhoods of south-western Lindon, bordering Orem. This time, I focused on things that I found to be positive rather than the negative attributes of these areas.

Road Work

Since my last visit to the neighborhood, lots of road work has been completed. The roads have been improved on greatly. They are smoother, without potholes, and with repainted lines. There is also a lot of room on each side for people to park their cars.

Street Lights

For better visibility and safety at night, there are an abundance of street lights that line the main roads. This is especially helpful as this neighborhood is built on a collection of tall hills which drivers can easily speed down. This ensures that everybody can see whatever may be in the road or on the sidewalks.

Neighborhood Places To Visit

Within the neighborhood itself, there is the ongoing construction of an LDS temple. An estimated 94% of Lindon are members of the LDS church. This provides a local place of worship for these people. Infront of it, there is also a military memorial sight which has easy access. Both of these may be interesting subjects for sight-seeing. Much like the rest of Lindon, this neighborhood also offers multiple trails to walk along that provide photo-worthy landscapes one could appreciate.

Lindon Senior Center

The Lindon Senior Center offers a community in which older people who require assistance can receive proper care and support. This is a very important aspect of the city as a vast majority of the Lindon community are elders. The Center also offers opportunities for other members of the city to volunteer as aids. If somebody has extra time, they may consider helping out at the senior center.

With each city comes the good and the bad. Whilst I previously focused on the negative, I quickly found that there are many great qualities to the city of Lindon. There are many buildings of resource for the people that inhabit the area. There are schools on every-other road where kids can have access to an education, community centers for support, and recreational centers for family fun. Lindon, according to statistics, is one of the safer cities in the entirety of Utah. Revisiting this city was a good chance to expand my understanding of the area even more, and to broaden my perspective on those who live within it.
