Vera Claythorne greatly struggles with the death of Cyril. Initially it seems as if she is more hung up on losing Hugo than she is killing Cyril. However, as time goes on, she replays what she did over and over again. When she finds the noose in her room, she doesn't even need prompting to get on the chair. As she is doing so, she thinks:

"You can go to the rock, Cyril..."
That was what murder was- as easy as that.
But afterwards you went on remembering... (Christie 269).

Vera thought she was going to kill Cyril and get what she wanted, which was Hugo. What she doesn't count on is not being able to get it out of her head because she feels guilty about it.

This shows from Vera's perspective they are hardly human after all Vera has done in here past and ho they have all killed and there approaching guild, they are hardly human. She sees them as animals being watched and controlled. Vera also has the perspective it was fine, what she did to cyril but deep down she knows the truth and eventually her perspective changes as she sees how what she did was not ok.
Point of view is very important in this book. we see many different point of views. For example point of view is very important to Vera character. we learn so much about her that none of the characters. She Vera Is very guilty for letting Cyril swim out to the rocks. From Vera point of view she is a murder. In the begin of the book We think that that Vera is a kind women. A quote that shows this is" she must not think of Hugo." (pg 5 Christie) This is very important because none of the other characters know Hugo. we get to see Vera point of view and learn more about her. We see that she is not who she seems to be. - Jameson.

Vera shows flashback throughout the book but on page 87 because she says "Hugo ... Hugo ... Why do i feel you're so near me tonight? somwhere quiet close..." i picked this as a flashback because out of the whole book i feel that Vera gets many flashbacks because of the guilt she has towards her. like an example is when the seaweed was on her ceiling she got so nervous/scared as of when if it was anyone else once they noticed it was seaweed i feel they would not have jumped or got as nervous as Vera did because they dont flashback or get the guilt/nervousness like she does

Inspector Main had a point of view that maybe Morris was the murderer. He pointed out how it was odd that he was near the dead body's and he didn't smell them at all. He says that he seems suspicious because of this, "not if you knew Morris!" Inspector main said.
