I have always known that I was blessed, but completing this exercise highlights some of those blessings. I actually was able to obtain a bachelor's degree without ever taking out a student loan. In fact, in some semesters, I was actually paid to go to class based on Pell Grant and various scholarships, I was receiving monies in excess of what was required. I worked full time, so I did not have to take a loan : )

UPDATE: This school has now closed because they did not have enough students. Private schools are having a hard time staying afloat....

I can't recall how much I spent. However, I am currently working towards a  PhD, and I estimate spending between 50-60K. A student will have to pay approximately 48K for a Bachelor's at a state university.
