The clinical practitioners must make sure that while dealing with refugees they must make them feel comfortable, respected and ensure that them that they are in safe hands. Being a nursing student, some of the skills that I will use in such situation is to respect them culturally and make sure they get a quality treatment. I will also try to open up with them with honesty and will try to listen to the refugee's customs and beliefs so that I can create a healthy and nice environment for them.

It is evident that how hard is it to move to a completely different country as a immigrant in a country like Australia.
Food insecurity
People from all over the country have their own food items and particular things that they enjoy eating since birth but being a refugee in Australia can have some drawbacks. Let's say a refugee who just moved to Australia is vegetarian then it is obvious that they will find it difficult to choose vegetarian items here because majority of people in Australia are non-vegetarians.
Working life conditions
Every nation has their own specific ways to work which may be completely different from what is in Australia, if I talk about some countries, they store's and everything have longer opening time periods but here in Australia you will see most of the shops and stores get closed by 5 pm.
Education
This could be a difficult change for the refugees those who want to continue their studies here in Australia. Coming from a different study background it may be hard for people to get use to the Australian education system as it has a unique factor called Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) which specifies the standards of qualification in education sector.

Under the Refugee Humanitarian Programs, it was noticed that majority of Iraqis migrate to Australia as refugees. Though people from Iraq continuously looked for safety from Radical Islamic Terrorist Organizations, but when the GULF war broke in 1991, most of Iraqis moved to neighboring countries. It was really hard for some of them because they had to spend almost 5 years in camps before they were given permission to live in Australia.
According to recent studies, the most common disease that spread among the refugees are:
Latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI)
This is a condition in which a person has been identified with a bacteria which can cause tuberculosis but the bacteria is inactive which leads to the person to not feel sick and does not show any symptoms of tuberculosis.
The refugees who have this problem are offered LTBI therapy here in Australia, and are acknowledged about the drawbacks and the length of the treatment in the languages they can easliy understand.
Mental health
This is a very serious issue faced by the refugees from different nations as they have left everything behind and starting a new life in a different country with different people is a very tough thing.
Counceller's are available for those who deal with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety.
Low vitamin D

It is a condition when the requirement of vitamin D is not fulfilled by sunlight or either diet.
Refugees who suffer from this, are given daily dosing, and if the condition is worse they are given high dose therapy.
Refugee health guide.

Thid dance form is called Bharatnatyam which is a descendant of an ancient Devdasi culture which suggests a historic origin back in 300 BCE and 300 CE
It is a form of classical dance which has been tied to southern India's culture and the people who reside in Tamil Nadu. It comes in one of the eight forms of dance of India.
The real extract behind the Bharatnatyam is quite complicated. In order to understand it we must break it into 2 major words: Bharta and Natyam.
Bharta is in itself a combination of three words (Bha stands for bhavam means feelings , Ra stands for ragam means melody and tam stands for talam meaning rhythm)
Natyam is a pure Sanskrit word which means Dance.

Harris, C.
