Opinion -
What struck me the most was classroom management was an essential ingredient. If this was missing it could jeopardise a well planned 5E lesson. Having an effective classroom management plan is necessary for all teachers to be able to manage their classroom, however to ensure students are comfortable to participate and contribute to discussions and explorative group activities, the classroom culture must be safe, respectful and warm to facilitate collaborative work. Students should not feel afraid to make mistakes. So a classroom mantra could be 'mistakes are good as they help us to learn'. In the NSW Quality Teaching Model this falls under the Element of Inclusivity in the Dimension that is Significance.

Another important point to me was the first step - engagement. Ensuring we activate their prior knowledge so they can use that to come up with new understandings together. As well as making it relevant to real life. These fall under the two elements of "Background Knowledge" and "Connectedness" in the Significance Dimension of the NSW QTF.

Opinion -
I believe teachers need to foster inquiry skills within their students, so the classroom tasks would need to be set up to build their questioning skills and research skills.
Students will also need to be taught how to research various modes of information ie websites, online journals, books, etc. This is building their literacy skills to be able to sift through information to find what they need and interpret the information.
Facilitating group discussions amongst the students, and giving them the tools to be able to use open questions with one another

Some of the error in my results were due to the brick changing position and landing on the ground at an angle. If I had more time I would have repeated the experiment taking more care of how I dropped the brick. My results were an acceleration of -9.7m/s/s
