The connection between humans and dogs has always astounded me. Dogs are so compassionate and protective and everyone should be able to experience that love and connection with such an intelligent animal. Like Alex said, I miss my dog so much even when I don't see him for a couple days, I can't imagine being without him for three years. It makes me so happy that Ikar could finally be reunited after 3 years with his home !!!! Although it was super difficult to hear that he had been abandoned I'm SO HAPPY that he got saved and could end up living retired with who he loves. Normally watching military homecoming videos makes me emotional but when there is a dog involved I love seeing it even more. Dogs are the best creatures on this planet and I'm so thankful I have one myself. This makes me want to go home and hug my dog, Boston. Hes so cute. It is always fun to see dogs being reunited with their owners, especially in this case. I am shocked that the dog was abandoned, especially one in a military program. Nevertheless, I am glad that the dog's old handler adopted him. I feel so bad for Ikar and it's not fair that he got taken away and treated poorly after all the dangerous work that he did. This is a great story about a military dog getting to have some joy back in its life. It is very sad that the dog was not appreciated and left abandoned. I am happy that he got to see someone he loved and now he has a nice home. She cries at every single dog video ever made, and I think she was on the verge of tears with this one too. Anyways, I have not been able to have a dog for a long time because I am allergic to both dogs and cats to a fairly severe degree. However, recently, we got a hypoallergenic dog (a mini labradoodle) named Maddy, and it has been great. She is a bit destructive, but she's a very kind dog and very smart as well. While I am disappointed she doesn't like cuddling at all, I respect that she needs her own space. I understand now why people have such a connection to their dogs. They have their own quirks and their own personality, which makes them memorable. Why did you do that it's like 8:00 am and I'm crying! Seriously though this was a great video. Sometimes I watch these kind of things when I'm sad and they make me cry but like happy cry you know. I have a dog. His name is Max and he's the best. Dogs are so amazing just because they don't know how to love any other way but unconditionally. My dog is the only person who is never upset with me or sad and he's always so happy to just be around. He's not super smart and he's getting old and thinking about even trying to get up one day without him makes me so sad. He's turning ten in March.
