         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think there was quite a delay in getting the enrollment email initially, this seemed to take a long time from applying, for me there was also a delay  in the funding section of enrollment somehow. Once this was sorted, i was then only enrolled on 3 out of the four modules i was meant to be on for this year, so I then had to add the leadership module, by email, but was added as a face to face learner, which had to be changed to distance learning. It wasn't the smoothest of enrollments, especially as by the time i was enrolled on the leadership module both intro sessions had already happened and Patrick had to meet with me specifically to go through things (which was great for me but not a great use of resources).</div>]]></description>

         <title>very confusing process</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The enrollment process could be improved if students are better informed about it. i.e when do we pick our modules, when do the modules run, what modules are available.<br>It would have also have been beneficial to have ensured students had access to the blackboard before running induction sessions about how to prepare ourselves.. a very unfruitful task when we dont have all the resources to properly prepare. Instead of preparing me for the course, this just made me feel anxious about and disengaged me from the course.<br>I think better planning around what to do if things go wrong would be beneficial, whilst it was accepted that the vast majority of the cohort were not able to enrol succesfully it surprised me that there was not a plan B. It sounds as though slow enrollment is an issue for SHU, and I therefore expected a more proactive response as to how to deal with the problem.<br><br>Communication with these issues was terrible, and it wasnt recognised the impact of not having access to the blackboard/ enrollment meant i.e I only knew about study dates and venues etc through other students. Whilst I am really thankful to the other students for this, I dont feel it fair for them to be doing the job of the university/module leads.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Very confusing enrolment process. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Enrolment very confusing, unclear about module choosing and when the modules will be running. Meaning it has made it very difficult to plan study time within my work. Was locked out of continuing with full enrolment due to a fee issue, had to make several phonecalls  to get this fixed and still took another 2 weeks after this to be rectified. This then meant that i had missed the information about the induction sessions meaning that i felt very unprepared when attending the first session.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Whole admissions and enrolment process.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I had an issue right from the start. Once i had applied i then had to chase admissions to see if they had received my application. Once i got my offer letter i replied immediately accepting a place on the course, however i then had to chase them as it was just over a week until the course started and i had not had my enrolment email. When i rang they stated that i had not accepted the offer. Luckily i had kept the original email and had the automatic reply from their end to prove i had sent it. I was then unable to complete enrolment due to an issue with fees. I phoned online web help several times where i was told that they were aware that this was an issue and it was being worked on. After several phone calls i finally emailed the HWB help desk who managed to sort it the same day after i had filled in the form for choosing the modules. Luckily i was aware of the induction dates as i had been in touch with the course leader, however by the time i had access to the blackboard site i had already lost the time i would have liked to prepare for the start of the course, and start the reading.</div>]]></description>

         <title>I have been student at SHU for almost 3 years now as doing distance learning MSc. Getting started on new module every time is a big problem. I got enrolled into leadership in practice module quite late but thankfully teachers are good and have cached up quite quickly. Fee is another big issue as I have to call and request them to send me fee invoice.</title>
