7.       Cultural – The things and behaviors that make a group of people special. For example,  or “German culture.”

8.       Demonstrations – Large groups of people coming together to demand something from the government.

9.       Journalist – Someone who writes and reports important news.

10.   Published – To make something public so that everyone can see it.

11.   Avant-Garde – Adventurous, likes to do things that most people haven’t tried.

12.   Prophet – According to some religions, this is someone who has been chosen by god and speaks directly with him about his wishes.

13.   Predecessors – People who came before. 

14.   Disciple – Someone who follows a teacher and tries hard to use what they learn in life.

15.   Celestial – Holy, coming from god or heaven.

16.   Disturbed – Insane, mentally ill.

17.   Puzzled – Confused.

18.   Unshakable – Something that is firm and can’t be stopped.

19.   Tyranny – When one ruler controls everything and doesn’t worry about what the people want.

20.   Submission – Doing what you are told to do without fighting.

21.   Imperialism – When a country fights and takes over lands that are not theirs in order to build a mighty empire.

22.   Enlighten – To teach somebody about something.

23.   Revolutionaries – People who try to make a revolution (pg. 3) succeed.

24.   Fanatics – People who are willing to do anything to achieve a goal, including hurting themselves and others.

25.   Perpetrate – To do something, usually something bad.
