They did this because alcohol was creating violence in the world. Prohibition created more crime and violence than ever. The amendment was created because drinking alcohol was not god like and could end the sinless living of America. little did they know crime and violence would sky rocket after this amendment was passed.

1. This is all about prohibitions during the 1920's and 1930's. Many people have known about prohibition which is the ban of alcohol. Also, it has had an impact on people because they have been wanting to drink so they can get drunk. Most people don't like alcohol because it is not good for people to drink. There have been many protests for people drinking alcohol and wanting to ban it. Most people have been selling alcohol to make money so they can be rich. Most people think this it is illegal because they believe the people who are selling alcohol must likely will get charged with a crime. Also when people would drink it, it would create violence in the world. The Volstead act was apart of prohibition because it also had alcohol. Many people did follow the Volstead act because it was the right thing to do. There were also gangsters that used alcohol. There was lots of crime when it came to alcohol because it was wrong to many people. When people get drunk it has an impact on people which can be negative. The prohibition of banning alcohol has had an effect on society because many people still want to drink alcohol and get drunk. Many people did believe in the 18th amendment because of how important it was to ban alcohol.
2. I believe how prohibition of banning alcohol did was change society because it had an impact on so many people. Also since it had an impact on so many people, they knew what do to (not drink alcohol). During the culture of America in the 1920's, alcohol had a popular culture in America where there would be advertisements and banners and such. Also people knew it was wrong to drink alcohol because it can make them violent and do bad things. Another thing that how prohibition changed alcohol was that many people made it illegal to drink alcohol because it was not good. Also, it had a bad influence on people because it had an effect on their lives which was not good. The influence lasted only for a few years because of all the protests and wanting to ban alcohol and etc. The influence did effect lots of people because of how bad the stuff was. Also many people didn't like this influence because it effected their lives. Many people would always remember during the 1920's about how alcohol would affect people because they should never forget it. Even though prohibition on alcohol lasted for a few years, many people would never forget it. It also would tell people that they should never drink alcohol ever again because it is wrong. Therefore these are the reasons its had an effect on society.
