Needs are very different among every student, and I think accommodations should be made as soon as their current tools and settings are not allowing the student to succeed. Perhaps the student will not need an AT device, but AT services are still important. The caregivers, teachers and other professionals will be able to give an opinion on what they have observed the child's learning behavior and if any AT is helping him advance in his education. When discussing the medical condition of the child everyone should be in agreement that it is a great impediment and it is now. If there is a different route should be taken, but I truly believe that any medical condition should not deter from education.

Specially to use accommodations to support educational needs. I believe that any student regarding their “extend” of their condition should qualify for educational accommodation under section 504. I think that the school district should reconsider section 504 and ad more sections as to what the student’s needs. If the student has primary or secondary language disorder vs as student needing more time to take and exam because the student displays trouble in reading.
