The impact on business customers and consumers was by no means fatal in the beginning of the Depression. It was the panic caused by banks shutting down and the train reaction of people losing the trust of banks and if someone has no credit the banks wouldn't want to give them a loan. Slowly people lost their business and work became increasingly valued because of its scarcity.

The impact on the the financial system of this time was drastic. The idea that banks were suffering and rumors that were circulating caused common people to demand their money back from the banks which led to them eventually closing. This shows the power that a simple mindset can have on a person. Banks were also weary of lending money to people because only the main banks were left which was not a good scenario. This is because the smaller local banks who knew what type of people had good/bad credit had shut down and the bigger banks didn't have this information.
