<title>How much of the world’s electricity comes from this source: Over 6% of the worlds electricity supply. How much does this energy source cost? Is it expensive compared to other energy sources? $500 to $1500 per kW-thermal of installed heating rate capacity: $500 to $1500 per kW-thermal of installed heating rate capacity.</title>

<title>How does this source impact the environment Good: biomass energy has the potential to greatly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Bad:Soil disturbance, nutrient depletion and impaired water quality are also potential environmental effects from biomass </title>

<title>What are the advantages of this energy source: Biomass is always and widely available as a renewable source of energy It is carbon neutral It reduces the overreliance of fossil fuel What are the disadvantages of this energy source It is not entirely clean Can lead to deforestation. Biomass plants require a lot of space. </title>

<title>What would be easy about the plan/shift ? biomass can regrow in a relatively short amount of time. Trees, crops, and solid waste are consistently available and can be managed sustainably. What would be challenging about the plan/shift? One of the biggest challenges is balancing the use of biomass with other demands on land, such as food production and conservation.</title>
