Many years later the queen asks her mirror who is the fairest in all the land, and to her surprise the mirror once again declares Snow White the fairest in the land. The witch disguises herself as a beggar with a basket of apples and journeys into the woods to kill Snow White. When Snow White is alone in the woods the witch approaches her and gives Snow White a poisoned apple. Snow White eats the apple and is left to die. The dwarves, saddened by the loss of their beautiful Snow White placed her in a glass coffin and guarded her body everyday. One day a prince passing through the woods was shocked by Snow White’s beauty and gave her a kiss. Immediately after her kiss Snow White opened her eyes and the prince asked her to marry him. The witch was so distraught by Snow White’s revival that she killed herself and the Snow White and the prince lived happily ever after.

The story primarily takes place and in the seven dwarves home. There are elements of the story, however, that take place in the kingdom.

The story has two primary conflicts. The first conflict is Snow White’s internal conflict. Like most fairy tale princesses, Snow White is looking for love. A conflict also exists between the queen and snow white. The external conflict between the queen and snow white manifests itself as the archetypal conflict between good and evil.

On Saint John and Paul’s Day the piper returned to town dressed as a green hunter. He and all the children in the town followed him out of church into a cave where they were never seen again. Only three children stayed behind; one was lame so he could not follow quickly enough, one was deaf so he could not hear the music, and the third was blind so he could not see where he was going. The three children informed the villagers of what was happening when the villagers left church. 

The story takes place in the town of Hamelin during a rat infestation.

The Pied Piper is the main character in the fairy tale.

The conflict exists between the town mayor and the pied piper. The town mayor refuses to pay his debts, angering the pied piper.

The story teaches readers to pay their debts.

When Ali Baba is working cutting wood, he hears a group of forty thieves in the treasure store who were talking about a treasure cave. When the thieves leave Ali Baba goes into the cave and steals a bag of gold coins. Cassim’s wife finds out about Ali Baba’s new wealth and Ali Baba is forced to tell Cassim about the cave. Cassim goes to the cave to steal the treasure, but he forgets the magic words that open the cave. Cassim is trapped in the cave and ultimately killed by the thieves who quarter Cassim and display each piece of his body in the entrance of the cave. Ali Baba brings Cassim’s body back home and asks Morgiana, Cassim’s slave, to trick others into believing Cassim died a natural death. A tailor Baba Mustafa sews Cassim’s body back together to conceal the murder. Ali Baba is ultimately able to give Cassim a proper burial and no one suspects that Cassim was murdered. 

The thieve return to the cave and find Cassim gone, so they conclude that someone must know about their secret. The thieves go into town and find Baba Mustafa who tells them that he sewed together Cassim’s body. Baba Mustafa leads the thieves to the Ali Baba’s house and the thieves plan to return in the evening to kill everyone in the house. Morgiana, however, saw the thieves and disguises all the houses in the neighborhood so when the thieves return later in the night they cannot find Ali Baba’s house and the leader kills one of the thieves in furious rage. The next night the thieves return again but Morgiana once again disguises the house by chipping the doorsteps of every house in the neighborhood. Once again a thief is killed by the leader. The leader returns to Ali Baba’s house and memorizes every detail of the structure. The leader of the thieves tries a third time to kill Ali Baba by disguising himself as a oil merchant and leaves thirty-eight oil jars at Ali Baba’s house. Thirty-seven of the oil jars have the remaining thieves in them. The remaining thieves are instructed to kill Ali Baba at night. However, Morgiana discovers the plan once again and she pours hot oil into each one of the jars killing the thieves. Morgiana tells Ali Baba about the thieves and Ali Baba gives Morgiana her freedom out of gratitude. Finally, the leader of the thieves, determined to kill Ali Baba, establishes himself as a merchant and is invited over to dinner at Ali Baba’s house. Morgiana recognizes the thief and kills him with a dagger. Out of gratitude, Ali Baba marries Morgiana to his son. Ultimately Ali Baba is left being the only one who knows about the secret treasure cave. 

The story takes place in a small town. Near the town there is a cave filled with treasure.
