When do family gatherings usually take place?

The world is getting smaller so we can keep in touch when we are not living together. DO you agree?

I think that it is great to celebrate birthdays because by celebrating birthdays. 

people can feel like they're important and families or friends can come together and get closer. 

I also feel that this picture shows that no matter what your age is, you can still celebrate birthdays.

Family gatherings usually takes place during someone's birthday or during public holidays like Hari Raya or Chinese New Year.

Families would also usually have a reunion dinner once a year or have a small barbecue party or picnic. Yes, I agree because people can still communicate with each other through social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube. They can also use Google Email and MSN to communicate. I think that it is better this way because we do not need to travel so far just to visit or talk to our friends or family. Less energy would be used and less pollution to the air would be caused because would use their phones or laptops to access websites to talk to people.

Yes i agree. For example if one of your family member is oversea, and you are celebrating but he/she cannot be by your side to celebrate it with you, you can still see and celebrate with them through web cam.

No i do not agree as to me when we family get in touch, it is when we are face to face talking not talking over the phone or computer. Eventhough FAmily members are Living far from each other,He or she should make a day just for family. like during one of the weekend, family can gather for a meal or something to catch up with each other.It is beacuse in my view, Family is the most imnportant people you have in your life.   Normally it is very rare to see a old people celebrating birthday. And the picture must be taken in a resturant,before the cake were cut,that must be the happiest moment for the elderly,it must be a weekend or holiday,as they were all free to attemp the celebration. The world is now getting smaller by either tansport or media,we could easily meet up from different part of city or countries. Media a lso help us to communicate with each other through video conferencing or vioce calls. We can call our family members whenever we miss them.  ~END~

Even though they are old it is really good for them to gather to celebrate their birthdays because that way , they could bond together and come closer as families or friends.I believe that family gatherings usually takes place at home or restaurants. Family gatherings usually takes place at grandparents house or going out to a restraunt for dinner. family gathering is when all family memebrs come together after awhile maybe every sunday or for distant family members who live farr away come together once every one month or so.

yes , as now more and more communications sources are inveted , now social networking is use for most communications between distant families now like facebook etc. now even phone application like whatsapp is invented for people to message each other for free and they can even create groups now and broadcast one message to everyone and save the hassle on sedning the message to everyone one by one.

I think that the children of the old lady are very filial to her as they have all gathered around her to celebrate her birthday with her.

I think that family gathering should usually take place on a Sunday as most people are free on that day and at the most respected people's home because they are usually the old people who have problems moving about.

I agree to a certain extand as we can keep in touch with people through the social media and telephones.however ,I think that people should still get togther so that we will still remain the bond between our friends and family members
