Other institutions employ pass/fail and have final poster presentation session. Great help to incoming students to focus on placement.

When come back, students give presentations to next crop of students which is mandatory for them to attend. Not part of assessment for those students back on placement. Student writes a personal statement on their placement and prize is based on that sponsored by companies. Certificate of merit for all students that were nominated to go for this award.

Problem of getting students to see the point of engaging in it if it's formative. But they do better in the workplace as they begin to see the relevance. Weekly or monthly submission online. Generally find good engagement in the process. There is less emphasis on the product but difficulty to thoroughly assess the reflections e.g. To assess depth of reflections.
They begin to do get much better at relating transferable skills and competencies to the practicalities in the workplace e.g. Communication skills. A problem if employers sign off on it. Students feel inhibited. Not useful to engage employers in assessment.
