Obviously, we'd spend the money on implementing our plans (investing in medicine, building reserves, asking the government to increase control over hunting African wild dogs). We'd also spend the money on donating to already existing reserves.

Virbac has confirmed its support for Wildlife Vets International in its efforts to reduce the risk of declining populations of African wild dogs that suffer from diseases they have contracted from domestic dogs. Wildlife Vets International (WVI) provides veterinary support for wild dog conservation through a neutering and vaccination program to improve the health and well-being of pet dogs. “Virbac has been supporting WVI since its inception in 2004, both through the provision of medicines and financially. The company has helped wild dogs in Zimbabwe, Siberian tigers and leopards in Russia, and the movement of pine martens in the UK. We are pleased that our partnership continues to support the conservation of endangered species,” said Olivia Walter, Executive Director of WVI. Pet dog clinics operate in public areas on the edge of Hwange National Park near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. WVI raised sponsorship for the veterinary team, providing funding for the neutering part of the program, and Virbac provided the necessary drugs for anesthesia and pain relief.
