🗓 📌 25 june

Last weekend, I went to Chinatown in Buenos Aires – an experience full of flavors, traditions, and cultures from different Asian countries. It's located in the Belgrano neighborhood, mostly around a few streets near the train station. Even though it’s not very big, it’s one of the most vibrant and fascinating places in the city.

The first thing you see when you arrive is the large red arch, a traditional Chinese gate that was inaugurated in 2009 as a symbol of the Chinese community in Argentina. This arch marks the entrance to a small area filled with shops, temples, restaurants, and cultural centers. The neighborhood began to form in the 1980s, when the first Chinese and Taiwanese families arrived in the country, and over the years it grew into a popular tourist spot.

I walked through the streets full of shops selling imported products – from Korean and Chinese snacks to decorative objects with Asian symbols, incense, dishes, and much more. What caught my attention is how in recent years, K-pop culture has become very popular there. There are stores with merchandise, posters, clothes, and albums. I even saw a group of teenagers dancing a BTS and ATEEZ choreography in the street, which gave the place a really fun and lively vibe.

We went into an Asian supermarket and it felt like traveling without leaving Buenos Aires: there were products I had never seen before, like green tea sweets, exotic-flavored drinks, and colorful instant noodle packs. We also visited a small Buddhist temple hidden between buildings, where people could leave offerings or just sit quietly to meditate.

We had lunch at one of the traditional restaurants in the area. I tried sushi, stir-fried noodles, dumplings, and jasmine tea. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very cozy. After lunch, we had some bubble tea – a drink that’s super popular among young people, with lots of different flavors and chewy tapioca pearls.

Chinatown is not only a place to eat or shop – it’s also a space to discover and appreciate other cultures. During the year, there are several events like the Chinese New Year celebration, with dragon dances, fireworks, and music. I think it’s a place where tradition and modern trends come together: religion and pop culture, local and foreign elements.

If you’re ever in Buenos Aires and want to do something different, I totally recommend visiting. It’s perfect for going with friends, trying new things, and discovering a multicultural corner in the heart of the city.

Last summer, I visited Disney World in Orlando Florida, and it was fantastic!

The parks are full of colors and music. I went with my mother and we had an amazing time.

We explored different themed areas, took photos with many Disney characters, and enjoyed the magical atmosphere.

I rode “Expedition Everest”, which was thrilling and very fast. I tried “Avatar: Flight of Passage", it felt so real, so my mum had vertigo!

We walked around Disney parks, where we enjoyed delicious food like fried chicken with fries, burgers, and international dishes at restaurants.

In my opinion the place is magical. However, one negative thing was the food, it was mostly junk food, and healthy meals were hard to find and very expensive.

Here are some tips for future visitors:

Use the Disney apps to check wait times and navigate the park.

Stay at a Disney hotel to enjoy benefits like early entry.

Be patient when waiting to take photos with characters the line moves quickly, but there’s some waiting time.

Don’t be afraid to ride all the attractions.

Don’t buy Disney merchandise at the park it ́s better in stores like Walmart – it may be cheaper, but shopping inside the park is part of the experience.

One thing I didn’t enjoy was seeing very small kids in the park. In my opinion, strollers were

uncomfortable and hard to move around, and many kids seemed too young to enjoy everything the park offers.

Disney World is full of wonder, fun, and unforgettable moments. I can't wait to go back someday!

June 30º

The best trip of my life (for now)

Hi everyone! I want to share a bit about my trip to Disney World, which I did back in 2018 with my family. Even though it was a few years ago, I still remember it clearly because it was such an amazing experience.

Disney World is truly a magical place. From the moment you enter the parks, you feel like you’re inside a movie. Everything is very well organized, and there’s something for people of all ages. I especially loved Magic Kingdom. It's like the heart of Disney. The fireworks show at night was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.

But honestly, my favorite park wasn't Disney, it was Universal Studios. I absolutely loved the whole Harry Potter experience. If you go there, it’s a must. Walking through Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley felt so real, like being inside the books and movies. The rides were incredible, especially Ollivander's one, when you are able to get a wand. I also got to try butterbeer, which was super fun.

If you’re thinking about visiting Disney or Universal, I totally recommend both. It’s a great way to enjoy your holidays, have fun, and make unforgettable memories. I hope I can go back some day!

My visit to the old train station in Puerto DeseadoI went to Puerto Deseado to visit my sister. During the visit, we went to see the old trainstation. When I arrived, the building looked old and quiet. The walls were worn, and thetracks outside were rusty. We walked around the station slowly, looking at the diferent parts of the building. Inside, itwas empty and calm. The light came through the windows, and you could feel that the placehad been there for a long time.It was interesting to imagine how the station used to be, with trains coming and going. Eventhough it was not very active anymore, the station still had a special atmosphere.Puerto Deseado is a quiet and simple town, where life moves at a slow pace and theatmosphere feels calm. Besides the train station, the town has several monumentsdedicated to the memory of the Malvinas War. These places show the respect thecommunity has for its history. Visiting them adds a thoughtful and gorgeous part to theexperience of being in Puerto Deseado.

Last summer, I went to Barra da Lagoa in Florianópolis, Brazil. It’s a beautiful place with beaches, nature, and a calm atmosphere. I traveled with my family, and we had a great time. I spent a lot of time at the beach. I went surfing, did some fishing near the rocks, and really enjoyed the ocean. One day, we caught some fish and my dad grilled it. It was delicious. We ate seafood, rice, and fruit during the whole week. Everything was simple but very tasty.

In my opinion, Barra da Lagoa is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The people were friendly, and the views were amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was that there were too many people, especially on the weekend. Sometimes it was hard to find space on the beach or walk around comfortably.

I had an amazing time. I enjoyed the ocean, the food, and spending time with my family. I hope I can go back one day and live that experience again.

Martiniano Cerf Lapidus Blog Entry: My Trip to Miami!

Some time ago, I visited Miami with my family during the holidays. It was an amazing experience! Miami is a city in the south of Florida, famous for its beautiful beaches, warm weather, and Latin American culture.

The first place we went to was South Beach. The sand was white, the sea was clear, and the atmosphere was really lively. We spent hours swimming, relaxing and walking by the ocean. Later, we explored Ocean Drive, where we saw colourful art deco buildings and had lunch at a restaurant with great music.

We also tried some delicious food, like tropical fruit juices. One evening, we watched the sunset from the beach — it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.

Miami is a fun and exciting city, perfect for people who love the sun, the beach and good food. If you go there, I recommend visiting South Beach, wearing sunscreen, and enjoying the local culture as much as possible. I would love to go back someday!

In 2017, when I was 10 years old, I visited Natal with my family and the experience was good

We stayed at a cozy hotel close to the beach. Everything felt so diferent: the ocean breeze, the sand, and even the hotel breakfast was amazing.

Natal is a place bursting with sunshine and natural beauty. We exploring beaches like Ponta Negra and Genipabu.

I remember taking buggy rides across the sand. One moment we were sliding down the dunes, and the next we were speeding toward the shore.

There were tons of fun moments: It was the first time when I saw dolphins, we played in the waves, and even built castles on the beach. My parents took lots of greats photos.

The food was tasty and colorful. I tried tapioca stuffed with cheese, grilled fish, and coconut water straight from the shell.

In my opinion, Natal felt like a tropical dream. The only downside was the heat it was so strong that even walking short distances felt like a challenge.

One place I would really love to visit is Iceland. It looks like a country from another planet, full of natural wonders and incredible landscapes.

Iceland is famous for its waterfalls, volcanoes, and glaciers. I would like to walk on black sand beaches and see the huge waterfalls like Skógafoss or Gullfoss. Another thing that makes Iceland unique is the Northern Lights, which can be seen in the night sky with green and purple colors moving like waves.

I would also like to visit the Blue Lagoon, a natural hot spring where you can swim in warm water even if it’s snowing around you. The idea of relaxing in a steaming pool surrounded by mountains sounds amazing.

Finally, Iceland is a quiet and safe country with very few people, so it feels like you can explore nature without any rush. Visiting it would be a mix of adventure and peace, something I can’t experience in my city.

A Journey Through Chile: Santiago and Valparaíso

As I stepped off the plane at Santiago's Arturo Merino Benítez Airport with my family, including my two sisters and parents, who had joined me on this adventure from our hometown of Santa Fe capital, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. We had heard so much about Chile's vibrant culture and stunning landscapes, and we were eager to experience it all for ourselves. After collecting our luggage, we made our way to the arrivals area, where we were greeted by the warm Chilean sun. We had booked a car rental in advance, which allowed us to explore the city and its surroundings at our own pace. Our accommodation was the luxurious Santiago Marriott Hotel, located in the heart of Las Condes, near the Parque Arauco shopping center.

Santiago is a bustling metropolis with a rich history and culture. We spent our days exploring the city's many landmarks, including the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and the Palacio de La Moneda. We also visited the famous Mercado Central, where we sampled some of Chile's delicious seafood and produce. One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to the scenic hills of San Cristóbal, which offered breathtaking views of the city. We also took a stroll through the beautiful Parque Bicentenario, which was a peaceful oasis in the midst of the bustling city.

However, the highlight of our trip was undoubtedly Valparaíso, a colourful port city that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We drove from Santiago to Valparaíso and were immediately struck by the city's steep hills, colourful houses, and vibrant street art. We spent our days exploring the city's many neighbourhoods, including the historic quarter and the trendy Bellavista neighbourhood. One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to the famous La Sebastiana, the former home of the poet Pablo Neruda. The house is a stunning example of Neruda's eclectic style, with beautiful views of the city and the sea. Valparaíso truly stole our hearts with its unique charm and energy.

Chilean cuisine is a fusion of Spanish, Italian, and indigenous influences, and we were eager to try some of the local specialties. Some of our favourite dishes included pastel de choclo (a corn pie), chupe de mariscos (a seafood stew), and empanadas (meat or cheese pasties). We also enjoyed sampling some of Chile's excellent wines, including a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley and a Carmenère from the Colchagua Valley.

As our trip came to an end, we reflected on the many wonderful experiences we had in Chile. From the stunning landscapes to the vibrant culture and delicious food, Chile had truly left a lasting impression on us. As we boarded the plane to return home to Santa Fe capital, we felt grateful for the opportunity to explore this beautiful country and its people.

Practical Information:

- Accommodation: Santiago Marriott Hotel

- Transportation: Car rental, driving from Santiago to Valparaíso

- Food: Mercado Central, La Sebastiana restaurant, various street food vendors

- Attractions: Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Palacio de La Moneda, San Cristóbal Hill, Parque Bicentenario, La Sebastiana, Valparaíso's historic quarter

In conclusion, Chile is a country that has something for everyone, from its stunning landscapes to its vibrant culture and delicious food. Santiago and Valparaíso are two must-visit destinations that offer a glimpse into Chile's rich history and culture. We highly recommend visiting Chile and experiencing all that it has to offer. It was a wonderful experience, see you soon Chile!
