As fascism was taking over in Europe, America sat in the sidelines afraid to make the same mistakes from WW1. Due to this fear, the Neutrality Act was put into place which did not allow America to sell, trade, or loan money or materials to belligerent nations. As for the Good Neighbor Policy that was put into place for the purpose of not using military force for influence in Latin America.
https://www.ushistory.org/us/50b.asp

During WWII Cuba was a very close and dedicated ally to the United States. There were around 500,000 Latinos and 350,000 Mexican Americans that served for Americas military in WWII. After Japans attack in Pearl Harbor, Cuba then declared War to Japan, Germany and Italy. The US also declared war on Japan after the attack, and with Germany and Italy declaring war as well, the US became quite involved in the war.

Minority women during the WWII were often turned away from good paying jobs, and if they were accepted they were paid less than their white coworkers. Even after WWII many minority women were fired much more than white women, and much sooner. Women working during this time proved that a woman could do a man's job, and there were positions open only as long as the war was ongoing.
https://blogs.stockton.edu/womeninwwtwo/minority-women/

Treatment of Japanese American's during WWII

Due to the Pearl Harbor attack on the US Japanese Americans that were born America faced a lot of suspicion and fear from Americans. They also faced a lot of people labeling them as alien and citizen like. Almost all Japanese Americans were forced to leave their homes and live in camps for the most part of WWII. After the Pearl Harbor attack Japanese Americans were being surveillance for suspicion and they even arrested more than 3,000 Japanese Americans. There was a worry that the Japanese Americans that were citizens would tip off Japanese military for anything. Many people did not feel safe with Japanese Americans living freely, so the War Relocation Authority moved these people into relocation centers. These centers had horrible living conditions and there was little to no protection from the intense weather. Though, Japanese Americans were able to make these shacks their home by adding things like magazines and photos.

Reasons for US using atomic weapons against Japan

The Manhattan Project was a "secret" name for developing the worlds first nuclear weapons. In August 1945 the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. There were about 140,000 people that were killed instantly or simply just died due to the radiation or just injuries that they got along the way. After this bomb dropped, Truman had called for surrender but then the Japanese government refused. So then, another bomb was dropped on another Japanese city Nagasaki and around 80,000 people died. This meant that there was around a total of 210,000 civilians that died due to both of these atomic bombs. The reason Truman wanted to bomb both Nagasaki and Hiroshima was to in hopes shorten the war and save more lives that would be lost if the war was ongoing.

Economic and Diplomatic effects of WWII on US and one other country in Americas

For the economic impact in the United States the war had allowed for the United States to expand industries as the war had facilitated production. There was a demand for more materials from the allies and so this then led to more production of materials. The US was able to maximize their efficiency and expand industries. The economy had also recovered from the Great Depression and the economy had also grew pretty fast. The war had caused some job vacancies to occur which gave opportunities to men for work and it lowered the unemployment problems that was caused by the Great Depression. There was also a skyrocket from the economic status in the US, and it had became a global economic powerhouse. The consumer-based economy allowed for a successful transition to production and a rapid growth in the economy. The US diplomatic impact showed that the US was neutral as the war started. The US had also participated in the war and that had took the side of the allies against Axis powers. The US had also led to a capitalist alliance against the USSR's communism. Diplomatic relationships had the US neutral. At time the US was at an isolated standpoint and they didn't really take any side but did criticize Japanese invasion in China. The US had also chose to support Allies in the war to fight against the Axis powers which were Germany, Italy, and Japan. US and USSR relationships had tension that was building and they had overtime become opponents. As for Canadas economic impact in WWII, it was very similar to the US since they also experienced changes in the economy and also changes which allowed the Canadian economy to recover from the depression. Employment had also grew because of the economic simulation. Canadas diplomatic impacts of WW2 had Canada obtained by a respectable diplomatic position after the war because of Canadian war efforts. Canada also had a limited involvement with the USSR and they chose to side with the United States after the war.
https://prezi.com/p/msiniwgklbhl/economic-and-diplomatic-effects-of-ww2/
