It is made from Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane grapes and comes from the Telavi and Kvareli area of Kakheti. Tsinandali is fermented at cool temperatures and matured for two to three years to bring out the complexity. Tsinandali can be aged for a further five, adopting some nutty bottle-aged characters in the process. It has a pale golden color and a light body. The flavor is light, with a moderate finish

Rkatsiteli is an ancient pale-skinned grape variety from the Republic of Georgia, the oldest wine-producing region on earth. Thought to have been cultivated there for several millennia, the variety remains Georgia's most popular white-wine grape variety even today, and complements the most popular red-wine grape, Saperavi.

Kindzmarauli (Kinz-mah-rah-oo-lee) is one of the most well-known Georgian wines given its popularity in the Soviet period. Many American wine-drinkers are put off by the word "sweet" but this authentic naturally semi-sweet wine has been making American converts for the last decade. Kindzmarauli is sweet but not too sweet because it is made from a tannic and complex grape varietal, Saperavi. The characteristics of the Saperavi grape lend balance to the sugar resulting in a well structured wine great for pairings.
