During his dictatorship from 1933 to 1945, he started World War Two And killed Millions of people. He was closely involved in military operations throughout the war and was the ring leader of the Holocaust, the where almost 6 million Jews were killed. When Hitler was in office he enforced absolute obedience from everyone to their superiors. He viewed government as a pyramid, with himself at the top. If Hitler did not run government like this it would not only be his opinion on how Jewish people should be treated and if Germany would invade Poland. Sadly, Hitler was significant because if he was not around, World War Two would not have happened.

Hitler started the world war by invading Poland on September 1, 1939. Poland mobilized their troops late and became heavily outnumbered. Even though Poland inflicted serious casualties on the Germans, they were defeated within weeks. The Germans with over 2,000 tanks and more than 1,000 planes then took over Warsaw by a massive encirclement attack on September 27, 1939. This day important to remember because of all the people who died. And it is significant because if Poland was not invaded World War Two would not have began.

In the morning of December 7, 1941 the Japanese Navy launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. There targets were the battleship that laid in the harbor, and they ended up sinking 6 battleships and killing over 2,000 people and injuring more then 1,000 people. If it wasn't for Pearl harbor America wouldn't have had a reason to join the war and the Japanese Interment Camps would not have been created.

This was the day the Allies made a pushing attack to invade Europe and try and take control of the Nazis. They had two different ways of attack. Half of them were paratroopers and the other half attacked on the beach. This was very important because it was one of the main battles in World War Two and it gave the allies access to offload tanks truck and planes onto main land. With the help of the allies this pretty much sealed the deal for the war in Europe. Once they got off the beaches they started to march into France and went from town to town liberating.

The Japanese was planning a surprise attack on the United States battle ships. Luckily we intercepted these plans. So America planed there own sneak attack, and on June 7, 1942 the United States sent bombers to the Japanese ships and successfully sunk all but one. The last battle ship was taken down with one of the other American ships the Yorktown. The significance of this battle is that the America got control over all of the the pacific and it stopped the Japanese from attacking the mainland which could of lead to them taking over the west coast.

After Purl Harbor Japanese men, woman, and children were put into internment camps because people thought they could be spy's for japan. The conditions in the camps were horrible. People were housed in places like stables and bathrooms. The Americans would squeeze up to 20 people in places made to fit four. This is significant because it was one of the only times the United States did something horrible to a whole race of people other than the African Americans. Also it made Japan dislike America even more which may have sparked the Battle of Midway.

Also known as the Ardennes Counteroffensive the battle of the bulge, was a major German attack on the Western Front during World War Two. The attack took place in the forested Ardennes region in Belgium. The offensive was created to stop the Allies use of a Belgian port and to split the Allied lines, which would allow the Germans to surround four Army's of Allies and force them to negotiate a pace treaty in Germany's favor. On December 16 Germans sounded the allies and surprised them with a heavy artillery barrage. Snow made it hard fight for both sides. Even though the Americans were outnumbered 5 - 1 they ended up winning inflicting a huge blow in German troops artillery and vehicles. The war ended on the 25th of January, 1945. And this battle was incredibly important battle for the allies to win because if they lost the entire tide of the war would have been switched and the Nazi's may have won. Allies also ended up taking the momentum and using it to finish the war.

The Latinos joined the war because it was a way for them to show that they were real Americans. Over ½ a million Latinos joined the alliance. Some of the people fought on the front line and others built war machines inside of the factories. In the end over 60 men were awarded with the medal of honor for their service. These people risked their lives to fit in and be the same as others. The Latino people were significant because they gave an extra 500,000 solders to the united states army and that was a large reason Germany was stopped.

The Navajo code breakers were a bunch of men from the Navajo tribe that knew how to speak there language. This language was very confusing and really hard to learn, and because of this they were very successful in what they did. There code was never broken and for this, they won metals for their work. There tribe forbidden of violence so they had to keep what they did on the down low. This was a main reason the United States won the war in the pacific because the Japanese were never able to understand there language so they couldn't understand Americas plans. They also had to overcome the fact that there tribe didn't permit violence. They were not really able to talk about what they did and there accomplishments. The Navajo code breakers were significant because with out them the Japanese may have found out about Americas plans and they could of taken over the west coast.

Auschwitz was a concentration camp built to hold and kill Jewish people. In this camp they used lots of ways to torture and kill the people. One of the main way they killed them was gas. This is a very awful way to die they would put them in a chamber and then put poisonous gasses in the chamber and the gasses would kill you. this camp was eventually liberated but not before the Nazis killed 1.1 million people. This is significant because a lot of Jewish people died and it shows just how bad the Nazis are. To this day people remember Auschwitz because it was one of the largest killing centers and just how bad life in the concentration cams were.

This attack happened because of the war with Japan going on in the Pacific. America dropped two bombs in case one didn't work out but both exploded like they were supposed to. So in the end two whole city's were destroyed. Japan was forced to surrender and we ended up winning the war. This attack was important because it ended the war in the pacific and wiped out two important places in Japan. Their were some bad came out of this like all the deaths and the ecosystem being ruined but, it would have been a lot worse if it did not happen.
