I think this is fair because if you get a modified day with a foot of snow than we barely have anytime to play because we need to do our specials and homework than wh can go outside. I think 4-2 inches makes sense for a modified day because there is not that much snow and it will go away very quick. Think about it this way if you were a ten or eleven year old kid and you and all you want to do is go sledding, building a snowman, and have snowball fights would you want to sit inside all day looking at all the snow and feel like the time is going even slower because you really want to play in the snow. Snow on top of snow! I think that Dorchester did this because (made school on snow days) because we may have difficulties with the learning and it may take longer than it should so it decreses our learning time. I agree with this descision that you can do remote leanring on school days. It is always good to get a little more practice and learning in. But I also disagree because just like in regular times we do not have school so I diasagree. I think students should get time to play in the snow. I don't like this desicion because kids want to play in the snow, so why can't we have a half day, there will be other days we will have a full school day but some kids want to play instead of be inside for a while sitting infront of a screen inside a house where you can't make a snowman. I also don't like this desion because it is not fair to a kid, maybe the parents don't want to go outside, but a kid just wants to have fun, (Sorry Mrs. Callari,) a kid probobly does not want to learn when there is so much snow outside, they don't want to be stuck in side from 9 to 2:30 learning, they want to play in the snow!
