To ensure we had random data we used our calculator and entered in randint(1,8) and chose the first two non-English classes and that were generated.

This gave us periods 6 and 8, AP Government and Choir.

The two English classes were chosen based off of what two English teachers were willing to let us come into their class and what hour. It was a little less random but it still worked for us, helping us get an array of students between all four classes.

In total, we ended up with 62 responses from students in all four grade levels.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To reduce bias among the four classes, only one of us asked the same question, the same exact way every time. Each time we went into a classroom, we tried to say the same thing so we could keep it as similar as possible. We tried to not have a change of inflection in our voice when we talked to each class, knowing that it could very well produce a different response from the classes if we did.

After completing the project and asking all 62 students the same question, we concluded that our hypothesis was wrong- it didn't matter if we were in an English classroom or not, most of the students favorite subject is NOT English.

Some possible reasons most of the students didn't raise their hands for our question could be that during that day in English, they were getting a quiz or doing something they didn't particularly want to do.
It was obvious that many students in the non English classes weren't going to raise their hands, like we predicted.
