❏    Were you able to manage time?  
I managed my time well by washing dishes while waiting for the tart to bake. I also cut the strawberries while waiting for the tart to cool down.

❏    Did you face difficulties?  How did you overcome them?

My partner's oven settings were at a higher temperature, so my tart baked faster than expected and became a little too brown. I overcame this by cooking the filling for a shorter period of time.
 

❏    How would you have done it differently?

I could have blind-baked for a shorter time.

❏    Reflect on the food blogging process
I think it helped me learn about my strengths and my weaknesses, and helped me learn where I can improve on for the next week. For example, I found that last week my tart filling was too soft and runny. After reflecting, I realised that adding egg might help. So, I did that this week.

❏    How useful were the nutritional tools?
I think they helped me understand what were healthy and unhealthy ingredients, and how I could make my food tasty yet healthy at the same time (not too much fat, sugar etc.)

❏    How manageable were the manipulative skills for you?

How purposeful were the investigative activities in helping you come up with your final creation?

I think they were quite manageable. The investigative activities helped me understand how the ingredients worked together and how much of each ingredient was required. When i tasted the tart last week, I realised that the crust was bland. So, this week I added sugar.

Overall
I think the taste is very good as the custard is sweet, but the strawberry adds a tinge of zest in the dish. I think the crust is a little bit sweet, but besides that the texture is crisp and thin enough. The custard has a good texture as it does not flow out from the tart when cut. I think the dark colour of the plate also brings out the red of the strawberry, and the leaf adds a vibrancy to the dish. The dash of icing sugar also makes the dish more appealing.

Our inspiration for the sharp and neat side is drawn from the crown on the Athena statue. It represents her wit and wisdom. For the other side, we drew inspiration from the Jester hat. It has volume and is messy and unorderly to represent the curious, inquisitive, and free-spirited personality of the Jester. It is bouncy and whimsical, and has a variety of texture of cardboard to show the inquisitive side of the jester. Because of the difference, we highlight the contrast of the personalities.
