The most common example of basidiomycetes are mushrooms which can be found in damp areas. The mushroom pictured below was found in my own backyard.

These modifications may be the color, size, or even shape of the leaves that the plant forms. The plant below exemplifies the modification in which the leaf forms spines to avoid being eaten by large organisms.

Parasitism is a relationship between two organisms where one organism benefits, and the other suffers. The poison ivy vine on this oak tree is an excellent example of parasitism. While the vine grows along the tree, it also steals nutrients through tendrils from the tree for itself.

The parenchyma tissue in plants can be used for many different purposes like photosynthesis, storage, and transport within the plant's xylem and phloem. This picture shows a non-woody plant and the parenchyma cells would be located in the stem.

The phloem is the series of tissues in a plant that transport nutrients from the leaves down to the rest of the plant. Much of the phloem is made up of filaments and tubes used to transport down the plant. The stem is where most of the nutrients are transported up and down and the picture shows the stem and a cut portion where you can see the small tubes within the stem.

In angiosperms, like the dandelion below, the pollen is produced in the anther. The pollen can be spread by pollinators such as bees or the wind.
