Mentally: It can cause major mental health issues such as schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, and make it hard to think clearly.

Behaviorally: Addicts might do things that seem out of character, like being secretive or commit crimes just to get the substance they’re hooked on.

Community: Addiction can also affect the community with higher crime rates and violence.

Steps of Treatment:

1. Detox: The first step is getting the substance out of the body.

2. Therapy: Therapy helps address the reasons behind addiction and how to manage cravings.

3. Aftercare: Recovery doesn’t stop after treatment. Ongoing support and programs are important for being able to stay sober.
