         <title>Scrolling Automata Game -Celeste</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I was inspired by platformer games like super mario and "crankies" http://www.thecrankiefactory.com/348971240 . I wanted to make something that <em>needed </em>a motor to make it more fun or interesting. I'm using pieces of the cardboard automata kit here, but made a few tweaks: &nbsp;</div><ul><li>I cut my own cams make the character "jump" higher</li><li>I cut down the chopstick that the character is attached to</li><li>I added some sticky tack to hold my cam in place&nbsp;</li><li>I added a couple clothespins to constrain the movement of the character and to keep from spinning around in a circle&nbsp;</li><li>I also used one of the boxes that our electronic parts came in to make the cam and the upper portion of this piece (those boxes are too good not to use!) </li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think this has uploaded ok.&nbsp;<br>I could save myself a lot of time by making simpler prototypes but my thought process needs me to work at having something near to the finished article to start with.<br>Also this approach allows me time to think about the mechanics that will make it work.<br>However , totally different ball game here!!<br>Really have to work out the programming for the "works" first.<br>At the moment I can make the mermaid swim with the 360 servo but the 90 servo for the sharks jaw?....zero.&nbsp;<br>I can make it all work from the 360 servo but that would mean introducing a belt drive plus a few cogs, not quite what its all about.<br>Nevertheless, been a very interesting 6 weeks. Coming away from this with what I've learnt is that I need to learn a lot more!<br>All the very best to you all and your Computational Contraptions!</div>]]></description>
