Well, Harnett County was made from land from Cumberland County in 1855. Harnett County was named after a solider, Cornelius Harnett. Harnett County is seated in lillington. The largest city is Dunn! Well, so far, you can tell that Harnett County is a large state! The first settlers of Harnett County came in the 1720's. Scotts followed behind them. Even though Harnett County was not a place to fight during the Civil War, one of the very last battles happened in Avesborough. Harnett County has MANY schools, 5 primary, 13 elementary, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and 1 university. So, yeah, Harnett County is all about the education.
