Old Major is a pig that has lived on the Manor Farm for years and has gained the respect of the animals, and explains t the how mistreated and overworked they’ve been throughout their lives. He also informs them that in order to have a better future, the animals must stick together. Some time later, after Old Major has passed, the animals grew sick of their lives being mistreated by the humans and rebel. The animals were victorious in driving away the humans, and officially renamed the Manor Farm to Animal Farm, where all animals were equal. Being the smartest of the bunch, the pigs naturally assumed their roles as leaders. This proved to be nwise, though, since after Napoleon and Snowball (The two head pigs in charge) had a dispute that drove Snowball away, the pigs eventually adapted the traits of humans to the point where the other animals couldn’t tell pigs from humans anymore.

The image below represents people blindly following something that is leading them to their downfall. It's not specified, so you can relate it to any similar topic, like Animal Farm. This relates to Animal Farm in how Napoleon and the pigs are able to manipulate the other animals into doing what they say through a series of lies the animals don't recognize. The animals are essentially walking themselves off a cliff , like seen in the picture.

This image shows a man with strings attached other people. This is obviously metaphor for how he is manipulating them, having complete control over them like they are marionettes. This is exactly what Napoleon has over the animals. He can make them bend to his will with little to no consequences. The most prominent example is how he is able to make everyone think that Snowball was the enemy, when people remembered him getting hurt and fighting for their farm. It is like Napoleon and the pigs have strings attached to the animals, having them bend at their will.

Big Businesses are very Manipulative. They push body standards too high for normal people, associating them with their products, yet also manage to put consumers down in doing so. On the other side, they can sell mediocre products with no more value than a dollar store equivalent. This is done through having high profile celebrities on your commercials advertising your product.Countless examples exist of these bad behaviors online, in news articles, and many other prophetic places, yet people still buy into the worse, more manipulative products. It is bizarre though that in spite of all this, these brands have nearly mastered the art of Manipulation.

This quote is accurate to where it's saying that you have to represent something that your customers can identify or align with. It's true, but not completely. A corrupt ad or a manipulative one will not take something you already identify with, but something you want to identify with. If they can sell that their product can help you get there, than they did their job.

This is one of many examples of manipulative ad campaigns. This was an ad for a popular gym that was supposed to "Push for great body standards". Being overweight is not healthy, but you shouldn't put people down for it. Yet this is what big companies do to control people, they put out these body standards that make mildly overweight people (who could easily start dieting without this kind of marketing) feel like they're beyond help. It's this kind of manipulation that is so wrong with companies.

Another type of this manipulative ad campaign is how lots of foods or drinks market themselves as seen below. They put their products in the hands of some attractive actor who can read lines, and it works. This type of ad is targeted to anyone who is lonely/wants to be "Cool" like the people seen in the ads. This form of marketing is good since it's saying that if you buy what they're selling, your future will be looking brighter and more fun. They're just promoting false ideals

Animal Farm and Big Business have a lot in common when it comes to how the people are being manipulated. With Animal Farm, Napoleon is controlling all the animals with a picture of a better future, and so long as they work for it it can be accomplished. eventually, we learn, that this was not true. However, ad campaigns like the one seen in Image #1 for Big Business, it's the same thing. They show all these pretty people who have great lives and, so long as you buy their product, you can live and look just like them. Both forms of mass manipulation are prominent in the fact that they are being used to gain control over a crowd of people, and grow a popular mage for people to look at.
