<title>What a lovely, heart-warming video. I imagine quite a lot of people have had to dry their eyes after seeing it. I didn&#39;t get tearful myself, but I&#39;ve heard this Polish video is this year’s top Christmas tearjerker. You know, those sentimental videos designed to make people cry. Actually, I think it might even be more successful than this year’s advert from the UK department store John Lewis, which always seems to be the number one ad at Christmas. Anyway, as for the message it&#39;s trying to convey(3), apart from the importance of family, I think the video shows us that it’s always possible to achieve the objectives that we set ourselves if we persevere(4) and show determination. Some things, like learning a language, are obviously difficult and take time. You know, you can’t expect to master English overnightt(5). But the idea is that if you stick with it and refuse to give up, you’re bound(6) to succeed in the end. But I think there’s another more subtle message about migration, which is so powerful because it’s so true to life. In recent years hundreds of thousands of Polish people have emigrated to the UK hoping to find better job opportunities. These people obviously have left family and friends back home to begin a new life abroad. I think it’s probably true that in families all over the world there’s always someone who has moved away from home in search of a brighter(7) future. So, I think maybe the video is an attempt to encourage people to show more empathy towards immigrants. You know, to put yourself in the same situation(8), as it were. </title>
