The current president of Germany is Frank-Walter Steinmeiser and he has been in office since September 2017. There are 16 states total in Germany and each of them have their own parliament and state leader. The whole country does have a written constitutional system that is called das Grundgesetz. This contains all of the basic laws for Germany.

Germany and North Korea have very different ways on how they run the government. Citizens in Germany have a leader that allows them to live how they wish with freedom of speech, equality, and being able to choose their jobs and where they want to live. However, North Korea is ran by a dictator by the name of Kim Jong-un. North Korea is one of the most extreme countries in the world when it come to censoring the internet and communications, people with disabilities are treated like garbage, human trafficking is a large thing as well taking young girls and woman for prostitution, marriage, or even sent over to china to be laborers. North Korea is a very controlled country with very strict laws, unlike Germany where they let people live how they want to, marry who they want, choose what careers they want, and many other things.
