African Americans

I had previously known that there was a lot of rioting/protests from African Americans. Most of their protests were peaceful, as it was usually the most effective. The protests showed how they felt in a calm way that did not cause any harm. Eventually, the protests allowed them to successfully make racial discrimination illegal, but some people still treat certain people in certain ways depending on their skin color. Because of that, there are still peaceful protests to this day.

I had never known that LGBTQ people's history went that far back, as I thought that it was a problem only in the current day. I also didn't know that there were protests done by them. Apparently, there were already lots of riots done by them to fight for the equality of the LGBTQ community. People still have protests for the community and are working hard on gaining much more rights. Some problems they face in the modern era is like losing your job just because you're gay or being mistreated in general because of the way they feel about themselves sexually.
