Sometimes we just want to do it this way but other people want to do it other ways which will cause conflict
2. a) Make sure that the company is mixed with different races to ensure no biasness
b) Make co-workers to learn their colleague habits or how they do thing to ensure they don't collide with each other.
c)Don't mix people too often unless complusory because people might be used to working with certain and spilting them might cause disharmony cause there will be argument if they get people they don't like working with.
3.

1) Misunderstandings are most likely to occur. as we come from different backgrounds and we tend to view certain aspects differently.

2) i. We can promote harmony in workplace by having a bonding session once a week, Such session involves a lot of interaction and communication. so that everyone have a better understanding of each other.
ii. As an employee, we should avoid working in a group with people of the same race as others might misunderstood you as racist or biased. Therefore, it is advisable to work in a group of people who are from different races.
iii. We should be respectful and honest towards others. In return, we will gain a person's trust and respect. This could lead to a harmonious working environment.

3) We should think about others in general. For example, if you have a clothing line business online, instead of just selling casual clothes, you can also include clothes for muslim women. This way, more people will prefer buying from your clothing line as they see you as a person who believes in equality. It is also possible to gain recognition and sponsorship from other clothing line which can help widen the business and also benefit the customers.

1) Firstly, the likely tension/conflict is communication barrier. This is because we might not know whether they understand what we are trying to say. communication is key. and it will lead to my second point which is misunderstanding. When we misunderstand with people of very different background/ culture, they will do different things and it may lead to bad relationship with them. Thirdly, being unkind towards the people with people of very different background/culture. Being unkind, people can be unkind back to you and they will give off a bad impression to you.
2) - Be nice to everyone
     - Make friends not only your own race, but also with other races
     - Never make comments that will offend them like for example, racist remarks.
3) " Grow your relationship database" means that to get close and make friends with other culture/race and this will helps your work/business much more benefit and productive as u get more knowledge about different cultures and be more understanding towards their culture.

1) The tension and conflict that will likely occur is when each culture has different beliefs hence it will led to people not understanding each other. Perhaps, people from a certain culture have no respect towards the other culture and hence mock one another's beliefs. This could also lead to tension and conflict.

2) The three ways to promote a harmony workplace will be, firstly, there should be a multi-ethnic society in the workplace. People of different race and religion should work together in order for them to know each other well. Secondly, to increase the bond within the multi-racial workers, each race can share what are their cultures and beliefs. This can improve the respect towards each other. Thirdly, during festive seasons, everyone can contribute to make a small celebration in the workplace. This will also help to understand each other's cultures while enjoying snacks and meals from each race.
3) 'Grow your relationship database' means that individuals should be open and understand other's beliefs and cultures. Instead of just criticising without understanding other's beliefs, we should ask and get explanation. Then, relationships between colleagues will be improved and there will be respect between one another.

Q1.) When working with people of varying cultural differences will most certainly create a little conflicts here and there as different people have different ways of doing certain stuff , which results in mixed opinion when working with another. And this mixed opinions will eventually result in breaking the bonds of the "working relationship" you might have with your partner , distancing yourself and them even further which in turn leading it into a stalemate situation when trying to move foward with a project or solving issues.
Q2.) The first way is to build up trust amongst your colleagues as this will decrease suspicions around the workplace and productions in the company will be smooth. Second way is to make sure that we give respect to anyone whom we are working with , be humble about our doings , do not step over anyone just because you may have a higher position/authority than some people. Lastly , be understanding towards one another's flaws and work around it to have a more harmonious working envoirment.
Q3.) It means to broaden up your social circle in the workplace , get to know more people working in the same field as you are and building good relationships with as many people as you can so as to let you have more connections internally and externally. You never know that maybe one day that guy/lady you have a good relation with might in turn be your stepping stone to greater success

Q1)The likely tension when we are working with people of a different background is that firstly, language barrier between one another. For example:The same words you use might not mean the same meaning .Therefore some people might misunderstood or take that the words you say to them are offensive .Even though that might not mean what you want to say. Secondly, the vocabulary used. The vocabulary that people use can sometimes be confusing to others who do not speak the same native language, and therefore many miscommunications can arise if we are not aware of the speech or vocabulary we use and how it is interpreted by the receiver.Thirdly, When people are unkind to one another. Different people have different background, so people should not discriminate them .For example , if you treat them unfairly,it will give a bad impression to them and they will try to move away from you or there might be quarrelling among one another which causes conflict to arise. Therefore, everyone should be treated fairly and equally.
Q2) 3 ways to promote harmony in workplace is that firstly, have an encouraging open communication, not just among your colleagues but also the management. This way can allow people to foster good relationship within the work place and by expressing their ideas/suggestions can allow the company to improve more .Or doing a 1-1 session with people so that the company can assign you the most suitable place / work to do.Secondly, establishing good work balance. It will be unbearable if people are only interested in themselves and disregarding their fellow colleagues which is not right .There must be a balance . For example, the company can introduce flexible working hours so that people can go home and accompany their family, or having compassionate leaves. This can let staff to have more rest as well as doing work more productively.Thirdly, training and development.People do not want to remain where they are after years but rather they would want to achieve better performance and also achieve better results in their career. Therefore, to be able to retain staff, the company can provide them with the right platform or allowing them to have the opportunity to go overseas to study if their career needs progression.
Q3)To' grow your relationship database' means that to broaden up your social circle and build strong relationships with people. Try making and effort to communicate and to learn from one another as each and everyone has different strong points, therefore learning from one another can help you to expand your knowledge or even it will help you with your career. It also means that not to limit yourself to just one area but to explore/try out different ways , because you might not know when it may help you in your career.

Everyone is being brought up differently, and have gone through different experiences in life. When working with people, we must understand that people we are working with comes from many different walks of life, and may not behave the same as us or what we expect of them. Communication problem may be brought upon when working with people who have a different culture from us or speaks in a different language as us. Even though today, English is one of the world’s most widely spoken language, some might not have enough money to pay for school fees to learn English, some may be under-educated, whereas some are naturally slow learners.

1) The way the person communicate might differ. They may have a different way of saying certain words or phrases by the slang they use. This can affect others point of view and thus will lead to a conflict due to misunderstanding of a culture's way of communicating.
Furthermore, people from different cultures tend to complete tasks differently. Some may be task-oriented, whilst others are relationship-oriented. This will then lead to a conflict if people of different cultural backgrounds who have different approaches to completing tasks are assigned to work as a group.
Moreover, how one makes facial expressions or gestures may lead to a conflict. In some cultures, if we avoid making eye contact is a sign of disrespect. While other cultures can tolerate this kind of expressions or gestures.

2)One of the ways to promote harmony in a workplace is by promoting cultural celebrations.
