This Summer, I spent my days living in Bethany Beach, DE, my current favorite place to be. While there, I scooped ice cream at Bonkey's Ice Cream and Snoballs. I am fortunate enough to work for my boyfriend's wonderful family business and I adore that job. Prior, I worked at a country club for 6 years, quite a change of pace.
Here on campus, I work as an Admissions Tour Guide, it's such a rewarding position. Especially when I see students I toured now attending classes in Sharadin! :) You may also see me working the art section of the bookstore with Bonnie.
I LOVE to chat and discuss ideas, I can go on forever, so I'll stop myself from typing here. I'm really looking forward to this semester and all this course has to offer.

My art is typically 2-D, especially painting. I love impressionists like Monet, Degas and Van Gogh. I admire artists who use color, like Jasper Johns and artists who have a good control over their color, mainly because I struggle with controlling my palette... Earlier this year I went on a Disney cruise to the Caribbean with my boyfriend and I've got to say, St. Maarten might be my new favorite vacation spot. I personally have no pets currently, but I am constantly dog sitting for my parents. Their names are Kody (white) and Luke (brown). Anyways, enough about my name, onto actual info about me. I'm a freshman at Kutztown University, and I'm going fr a major in Applied Digital Arts. On my own, I started working with free digital drawing software about 4 years ago (when I was a high school freshman), and worked and learned like that until I took other classes to learn digital art and animation, which started 2 years ago. From there I asked my parent for better tools to draw with, like a tablet, and my most preferred drawing program, Paint tool SAI.
I'm hoping to go on and work on animation. I would love to be a storyboard artist, but really, just working on animation anywhere  would be pretty content. I've spent a lot of time learning already, things like Adobe animate, Photoshop, and after effects. Illustrator is still some fairly new grounds for me, however.
If any of you guys want to see other stuff from me, I have an Instagram where I post my drawing, https://www.instagram.com/froyotheartist/ , but they are like, all fan art. You'll find out real quick my main squeeze in Steven Universe, but I really love a lot of other western animations as well.
As far as a favorite artist goes, *cough* since I'm really into animation, can I just say that I like the creators of the shows I like Rebecca Sugar, Pendleton Ward, Alex Hirsch, among others. Sorry if that's not the kind of answer the question was going for. As for places I like to go, I generally find its not where you go but who you go with, where ever is a good place for me, so long as I have people there who I enjoy spending the time with. Finally, I have two cats, like the picture says. Their names are Scamp and Snitz. Scamp is Snitz' mother, which is why they look really similar.
I feel like my collage is kind of a mess, but so am I, so it works out. This description, along with the collage picture I think pretty well describe me, gives a pretty good taste into me, and who I am. I am a super-duper senior, currently listed as a communication design major. I began my quest for a college degree way back in 1993, before most if not all of you were born. By that statement you can tell that I am a non-traditional student. I started as an art ed major because I loved my high school art teacher who I’m still close to but then I realized I really didn’t want to teach kids. I then moved into fine arts but was kicked out when they discovered I didn’t own the minimum required black turtlenecks so then I decided to pursue a CD degree. But even that became more of a hobby over time. My actual work life has taken be through a number of professions from managing a multi-million-dollar bookstore (where I met my first wife), designing ads for a local newspaper, and then switching over to selling advertising in that paper (where I met my second wife.) I then ended up at the Berks Arts Council where I oversaw a re-granting program for a four-county region and a ten-day film festival. Switching gears, I moved onto development work for Habitat for Humanity in Berks and then Lancaster county. From there I was recruited by the PA Council on the Arts (PCA), the commonwealth’s art agency, where I work under the offices of the governor. At this moment, I am sitting in a hotel room in Pittsburgh and I just finished prepping for three days of meetings- the last three days after an entire month of traveling around the state. I have reached a point in my life that I no longer need a degree but now I just want one so I’m getting one – probably in Crafts, yes, Crafts sounds good. I’ll get a degree in crafts. Goals- get better at everything I do and try everything.

That was more than you needed to know and here is even more. And I will dispense this info by explaining my images below. Center – the logo of PCA, I commute 2 ½ hours round trip to Harrisburg every day. Thank goodness for hybrid cars. Top center – my family, wife-Courtney, son-Emilio (second marriage), and daughter-Madeleine (first marriage). Top left – Makers extraordinaire, Bob Clagett of I Like to Make Stuff; David Picciuto of Make Something; and Jimmy Diresta of… well, he’s just Jimmy. They are three makers who I have gotten to know and who have pushed me into taking my hobby of woodworking more seriously. The three of them also double as some of my favorite artists/craftsmen. Which brings us to top right – I love woodworking, laser cutting, 3D printing, just making anything. On the bottom, either side, are my favorite people in the entire world- the aforementioned, Madeline and Emilio. And lastly, bottom center, the old argument of which is better DC vs. Marvel. I lightened the stone but wanted to keep the powerful strength of stone of the ring. The overall focus of the poster is that of the child in the very middle- I added the sun burst because it still draws you to the center but I feel a background would detract from that. Should I use a solid color for the background? Because this is geared towards healing children I wanted to keep with solid colors as much as possible- as if it was colored by a child as well.
