In schools, it can be hard for children to gather knowledge of the world around them when following curriculums. However, there are many book such as this one that allow for children in early education to step outside (literally and figuratively) their curriculums. This book not only helps children identify birds, but it provides helpful tips and activities; promoting methods of learning for all types of child.

This book is great for early education kids, specifically children entering school. Not only does it encourage children to identify the objects around them, but by combining interactive flaps and bright-colored illustrations, it makes the learning fun and enjoyable. It is also good for kids with various learning types. Those who learn by reading, visualizing, and those who prefer hands-on learning.

Me Encanta El Invierno / I Love Winter by: Shelley Admont

I loved that I found this book! I think this book is wonderful for children who are growing up learning English as a second language, not only does it have beautiful illustrations to go with what is happening, but it provides both English and Spanish translations. This is very important to young children because their early years are the vital years for learning a language. Providing their native language with the one they are learning, makes it easier for the child to learn and stay entertained. If the book was solely in English, it could be a lot harder for the child to understand and they may give up. Having this is the bookshop promotes inclusion and representation amongst the patrons.

A Kids Book About Body Image by: Rebecca Alexander

This was a lovely book. I think it is so important for children to have access to books that help with their self image. With the constant emerging technologies, children are exposed to harmful factors a lot sooner than previous generations. This book is meant for younger children and an aspect I really liked was the reassurance that the kids are not alone in their feelings. Everyone has dealt with body image issues or has not fully understood their body at some point. It's really nice that Bookmarks has provided children's book such as this one because this is a book that would not be traditionally bought for a kid. It is not flashy or cartoony per se. So it is more likely that a child would seek this out on their own.

Mad for Math: The Times Tables Factory by: Tecnoscienza

I myself am horrific at math, but this book gave a fun and interactive way to solve early education math problems. It feels like an adventure with the various illustrations, but you are also learning and solving as you go. For kids who do not particularly enjoy math or need help, this is a great book. The stickers were also cool and could be used as an incentive for solving things correctly.

This book was very cute. Not only does it have beautiful illustrations, but it also has a very important message. It is meant for young girls, but anyone could relate to the themes presented. It stresses the importance of following your dreams and understanding you are capable of anything you wish to accomplish.

It promotes exploration, identification, and wonder, by providing beautiful imagery and keeping the young children entertained. This book is good for any younger children who are interested in nature and want to learn more about the world around them.
